Safe Driving

Bicycles and Children

Children under age 10 have 1/3 less field of vision than adults. They cannot easily judge a car's speed and distance and cannot tell the direction a sound is coming from.

Children concentrate on only one thing at a time and it is not likely to be traffic due to their limited sense of danger.

You travel 82 feet if you take your eyes off the road for less than 2 seconds at 35 MPH.
